FAQ

I felt like starting a FAQ section even though I rarely get asked much. I will start with the few questions I've received so far and as this blog continues to grow, I'll keep adding your questions to this section!


1- What camera do you use for your blog?
A: I own a EOS Canon Digital Rebel. Its an older model (about 2004-5ish) and use the basic lens that came with the camera, EFS 18-55mm. Yes, I realize I need an upgrade but this camera and I have been through too much together. Plus, as you can see it works wonderfully. I take all the photo's for my blog unless specified otherwise.


2- What do you use to edit your photo's?
A: I honestly try not to do too much editing to my photo's but when I do, I use Picnick.com. This site won't be up much longer. They have a new contract with Google+ and will only be available to those with a Google+ account. Perk?! If you have a Google+ account you will automatically have Premium editing access. Previously you had to pay for all the extra editing.


3- What program do you use to create your outfit/product posts where you include direct links?
A: Its a program called SnagIt. I LOVE it and it is worth every penny. I've used it for numerous projects including my Facebook cover picture for my FB fan page. 

4- How do you get your skin to look flawless?
A: This is always such a funny question to me because my skin is far from "flawless". I suppose I've come to understand my skin type and because of my strong product knowledge I know the types of products that work for me long term and those that will still be ok on my skin as long as its a once-in-a-while thing. I wash my face EVERY morning and every night before bed. I use: 1- the Bare Escentuals Exfoliator and the Bare Escentuals Purifying Face Cleanser. The PFC is used daily morning and night, the Exfoliator is used while in the shower a few times a week. 2- the Bare Escentuals recovery serum, 3- the Bare Escentuals Moisturizer for combination skin, and 4- the Bare Escentuals Night Treatment. I have used this regime for a very long time and I love it. 

I have often used a Clarisonic to cleans my face while using the Bare Escentuals Purifying Face Cleanser. It works like a dream! Silky smooth skin afterwards. I try to live a healthy lifestyle. I stay active, drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and smile. I think smiling helps any ones skin. :)

5- About My Blog Design. 
A: While I'm certainly no designer, I have designed, organized, and maintained my site on my own since day one. I like my blog the same way I like my makeup, fashion, interior design, and architecture. Clean, simple, to-the-point, engaging, minimal, strong, inspiring, modern, and elegant. I wanted to keep my blog (especially the side bar with my links, past posts, etc...) organized and easy to use while still leaving my visitors inspired. I designed my own header and chose photos that best represent what you'll find on my blog. Fashion, personal style, makeup, and the small things in life that make me happy. I chose to go with more black and white photos as opposed to bright colorful photos because I wanted my header to have a warm and inviting yet mysterious quality to it. If there is anything you'd like me to add to my blog to make it easier to use, please let me know!
