Carefree Coral.

:: OUTFIT :: Top: UO (on sale), Shorts: Diva's Boutique, Necklace: Gem found at Gem Faire, chain purchased at an import store, Sunglasses: My boyfriends white Ray Ban's, Heels: ZARA (recent).

My posts have been a lot less frequent. There is definitely a reason for this but just know I'm still here. You will still get posts. The quality will always be what you expect from me and my heart and soul are still crazy passionate about everything you find here. I know, I owe you a solid makeup post. It WILL come.

Weekends are Best.

I don't know if you know this, but my phone takes some seriously good photos. I've been on the go a lot lately and, unlike most bloggers, I don't have someone to snap photos of my day-to-day outfits. My HTC has done a great job of capturing them for you! Plus, look at the last photo on my blog (Postino Arcadia). Does your phone capture such amazing light and texture? I'm truly impressed. I hope you are too.

OUTFITS
1- Summer coral top found at H&M for a steal.
2- Black silhouetted dress. Hugs in ALL the right places! I love the small shoulder caps, the low V neck, the feminine pleats in front and back, the knee length, and the slit in the back. It has a very sultry yet chic vibe and I feel like a woman straight out of Mad Men. Yes please.
3- I love carefree style mixed with a small splash of a "rocker" feel. I snagged this tank at UO for $15, originally $40! To keep it way less revealing I wore a black bandeau under neath it and paired it with a pair of "leather" leggings and my black suede heeled booties. I wore minimal makeup (but just enough) and got my bun on.

This weekend I was fortunate enough to have two killer days at work and make some fun/lasting memories with my love and some good friends. We hit two of my favorite restaurants Windsor and Postino Arcadia. Located in Central Phoenix and the Arcadia area of Phoenix. Lovely places if you ask me

Windsor is one of my all time favorites. Great decor (as you can see above), ridiculously delicious food, good music, and great service. I enjoyed an Earl Grey tea at brunch and skipped the Bloody Mary's.

Sunday, I had the fortunate opportunity to enjoy Sangria Sunday at Postino Arcadia with my love. Bruschetta meal for two, Sangria, and wine.
Best weekend ever.

Magenta: Bold and Classic

One of my favorite looks. Simple skin, fairly simple eyes with an emphasis on liner, and a pop on the lips! Here I am wearing the MAC Magenta lip liner. I wanted a matte texture but honestly, it needs a little moisture. Nothing a little lip balm can't fix!

{haaa ha ha A Mountain. Kind of an eye sore but its a beautiful sunny day}

-MAC Lip Liner in Magenta
- Bare Escentuals Foundation, Warmth, and Escape Blush

That Time I Cut Up a Pair of Expensive Jeans.

:: ABOVE :: -GStar jeans cut into shredded summer shorts -Straw Fedora from Nordstrom -Flannel button up shirt gifted from my stud boyfriend
-Black suede booties from UO -MAC Watch -Free People bracelet.

My version of an all-American summer outfit? As I put it on it felt very "country" but with a twist.
I need some casual garb today while I enjoy an adventurous day in the desert.

:: First adventure stop, one of my favorites, LUX. For a soy latte and some dangerously delicious steel cut oat oatmeal ::

Saturday Mornings

It's been a lovely Saturday so far. This morning a girlfriend and I hit a yoga class and followed it by making our first visit to a darling local cafe in the Central Phoenix area. The cafe is called Astor House. They offer a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu and let me tell you, our breakfast this morning was delicious. I can't wait to visit this darling place again for dinner sometime. I drove passed at night once and they had small candles lit on every table (even the patio) and it gave me the warm, happy, "nights of summer" feeling.

Cosmetic Staples, Accessories, and Desert Rain.

I'm the kind of makeup artist who is also majorly concerned about skin and I truly believe in treating your skin rather than covering it. Makeup should be fun, not a mask. Ya picking up what I'm putting down? If you've followed my makeup looks for the last year, you know I always have fun with my makeup! I love the artistic side of makeup but I believe you'll only love your makeup if you love the skin that is underneath it. Check out my skincare posts ----> Here, here, and here. Just a few of them.

:: ABOVE :: Bare Minerals Original Foundation, Bare Minerals Original Face Primer, and Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara. These aren't skincare items but they are my staples for a flawless and effortless makeup application and look!

1- Bare Minerals Original Foundation: This foundation is anything but a dry powder! Its very creamy and is suitable for ALL skin types. This formula has a luminous texture providing a great full coverage while leaving your skin looking like skin. What a concept! It also helps diminish and soothe redness in the skin.

2- Bare Minerals Prime Time Face Primer: This lightweight silica based product is good for ALL skin types, will NOT clog your pores, and isn't oily even in the slightest. Trust me people, I'm an oily girl and I use this on the reg. It glides smoothly on the skin and leaves your skin with a very smooth finish for your makeup to go on top of. You'll get better blending, coverage, and smoother looking skin. Win, win, win.

3- Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara: Free of oils, parabens, fragrances and tar. What more could you really ask for? This mascara comes in a black and dark espresso brown shade. The rubber bristle is truly the ONLY great rubber bristle out there. It snag's every tiny little lash, builds volume, doesn't clump, doesn't flake, and heck its safe for contact wearers. Go get some already!

I'll be honest. I'm trying to be a good girl and save some dough but after a month and a few weeks of NO shopping, I had to scratch the itch. I snagged these two darling bracelets at Free People yesterday on sale for $10 each! Screaming deal if you ask me. They are so dainty yet daring and I love them.

With my work schedule I try to blog as much as possible but where you'll get more Bloom in Saturation updates is through my Instagram account! You can follow me there and I'll be holding a cosmetic goodies bag giveaway soon and Instagram will be a key factor. I want you to win! More updates on this giveaway coming soon. In the meantime, this is what you missed....

1- My new Megan Draper inspired hair cut that I am still swooning over. Couldn't be happier with it!
2- If you know me, you know I love a good latte in the morning.
3- Wearing the above featured bracelets yesterday.
4- Its monsoon season here in the desert and I am LOVING every moment of it.

Oh, What A Day.

:: ABOVE :: Wearing all black for a princess shift at work today, loving my new Steve Madden loafer style slip-on's, rocking an old school Nixon watch The Cleo with lots of other arm swag, and utilizing my gorgeous London Fog tote where you can find novels and different shades of lipsticks. And occasionally some money. Today, I finally got my hair done. Megan Draper inspired and ready to rock this world! You'll see it soon enough I'm sure.

Yesterday I was a really good girl. Paid all my bills, took my car to get an oil change, AND had to purchase two new tires for my car. My car has needed this little tune up badly. Although I would have liked to spend that money on a flight home to SLC, it looks like that will have to wait. I do however, have a few new pieces to show you that I've added to my wardrobe.

:: ABOVE :: Steve Madden slip on loafers in a velvet matte black and all their simple glory. Sometimes you just need a solid pair of black flats. I can't get enough of these darling bright coral high waisted summer shorts with a cream ruffle hem. I seriously can't wait to wear these bright shorts all over town. Watch for a style post featuring them soon!

Mad Men Inspired Face Charts

Sometimes there really is nothing better than drawing a story with  makeup and an artist brush.

I have been working for Bare Minerals for going on two weeks now. I love working in the retail world simply because I get to do awesome things like this while I work. How lucky am I? My next makeup class starts on July 23rd and I am so excited. Hopefully all the face charts I create will help inspire my future students.

Photo Shoot with Jen Amber and Christos Sewell

I love all the shots we got! Enjoy.

Pony Up

More than anything I am loving the new mixtures of ponytails hitting the runway, fashion blogs, and clothing catalogues. I have always been a fan of the effortless messy look and how much better can it get when you pair it with a darling hair cuff? Along with the effortless pony you can find another look i'm obsessing over in which the hair is completely slicked back and the pony is fluffed and tucked into beautiful voluminous shapes. Some of the images above are some I came across online and felt inspired by. The images below are a few snapshots of my own hair cuff that I shared with you a week or two ago.

{Hair cuff purchased at H&M, can't find online}
