Buckwheat Banana Pancakes.

It has been a few weeks since I've made pancakes and this morning I was craving them badly. I decided to make Buckwheat banana pancakes with non-fat plain yogurt on top with blueberries and raspberries. So good!

First in one bowl mix your buckwheat pancake mix with the following:

{For 6-8 pancakes}

3/4 cup of pancakes mix
1 egg
1 tbsp of Olive oil
1/2 of milk

*I used all organic ingredients and Almond milk.

In a separate bowl, mash a banana or two (whatever you like!) then mix it with your pancake mix. Add a tsp of vanilla extract or some cinnamon as well. My recipe today did not include them.

Once your pancakes are done grab your serving and top it off with two spoonful sized of non-fat plain yogurt and sprinkle with your desired amount of blueberries, raspberries or any other fruit you want. My next pancake creation will include warm peaches and banana puree! Enjoy.

The Good Things in Life.

Today I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch with my boyfriends mother Linda and his aunt Gina who is in town from LA for the weekend. It was so great to have some girl time and catch up on life. These are the times worth living for! Having good people in your life who love you, support you and encourage you makes everything else like working 40+ hrs a week at work, worth it. You could have your dream job, dream car or all the money in the world but if you don't have those great people in your life who love you even if you didn't have any of those things or someone who loves you and wakes up next to you everyday, is it really worth it? As driven, motivated and passionate as I am when it comes to my career and future, you better believe I would choose the ones I love and love me, first.

A Simple and Fun Way to Organize.

After work today I decided to reorganize my living space as well as all the inspiring magazine tear outs scattered across the condo. If any of your are like me, you love having some "me time" in the am before starting your day or heading to work. This sometimes includes hitting a work out class, sleeping in, or for me personally.. enjoying a lengthy breakfast with a cup of coffee and my favorite magazines. Daily I find new spreads on places I want to travel to, new recipe ideas to alter or to inspire my own, beauty tips and fashion must haves. I tear out these spreads in hopes of referencing them here and there but instead they sit and collect dust. I decided to put to together an inspirational "Lifestyle Binder". And I love it. I also decided to rearrange my books, some magazines and create a new work space. Having some alone time and gathering all my favorite articles into one small, easily accessible place feels amazing.

Let the Weddings Begin.

As you know, it is wedding season and this year I am honored to have been asked by two amazing friends of mine to be their makeup artist for the big day.

Seija and I have literally known each other since we were around 4 years old. We would jump on the trampoline together, play Barbies together, fight with her sisters together, etc... I think you get the point. Life took us different ways and later on we ended up going to the same high school. Its amazing when you are able to keep such strong connections in your life. Here is the beautiful Seija on her wedding day.
