This look however, is Short and Sweet. A look you can achieve in 20 min if you stay focused in front of the mirror, have a game plan and grab all of your products first. The skin is a soft natural coverage with concealing in specific area's then I applied a light contour with a flush of color on the cheekbones, a highlight in key area's of the face and an eye primer on the eye. The eye is a simple look involving a primer, two shadows (thrown on in literally 2 seconds), an eyeliner on the top water line and top lid, mascara on the top lashes only and false lashes.
EYES
-Eye primer
-A soft highly reflective color on the inner lid, inner crease, inner under eye along lash line and on brow bone.
-The second shadow, a satin finish warm light brown to define the crease yet not a lot of color.
-I used a dark chocolate toned brown pencil liner in my top water line and a black/brown gel liner with gold reflects on the top lid to create a full bold winged liner. I used an angled eyeliner brush for this.
-I then applied a bold mascara to only the top lashes and followed it up by applying MAC's #7 Lashes on the top. I prefer to use DUO glue.
-I left the bottom of the eye mascara-less and completely highlighted for a retro/Twiggy effect. (Without the bold defined crease that was her signature look).
LIPS
-I wanted the lips to be as natural as possible so I applied a small amount of lip liner in a natural pinkish/red tone to the corners of my lips, the peak of my top lip and the center of my bottom lip then applied a very light full-bodied gloss and blended my lips together.
This is a simple look to recreate and I'd say the only area that anyone really needs some good practice in, is the winged liner and lashes. In my case, the brows!
I plan on doing a LASH TUTORIAL in the near future! Please watch for it. If you have any other questions, you know where to find me :). And just so you guys know, I am making the yummiest banana blueberry buckwheat pancakes right now!! What are you having for breakfast?? Happy Tuesday!

False eyelashes are the next frontier for me. I've seen so many tutorials on applying them it's not even funny... and yet I'm still scared of them :P
ReplyDeleteBut I'm too excited to use them to let that deter me lol
I'll post something with some easy guidelines and tips that will hopefully take the edge off for you! They are the funnest things ever.
