EYES
-I used a very soft, slightly glittery, light mint green shadow all over the inner lid, the inner corner of the eye, along the bottom inner lash line and a small amount on the brow bone.
-On the brow bone I chose a soft silky skin tone to counteract the sparkle and give a natural shine. I have a very defined brow bone and glitter there is unflattering. plus, I'm not 12 anymore.
-On the center/outer eye lid areas I have on a light/bright matte pink eye shadow. Against the glimmer mint color this already gives the eye some dimension.
-I then took a more matte/silky (no glitter/shimmer) brighter yet warm purple eyeshadow and with a good blending brush applied this to the crease of my eye starting at the outer lid right beneath my crease and blending upwards in circle motions ( NEVER lifting off the skin) up into the crease then did a windshield wiper motion to blend towards the center of the eye above the pupil.
-Next, I lined my water line with a dark chocolate brown eye pencil on both the top and bottom. Then I took a deep smoky purple shadow and lined the bottom of my eyes right along the lash line. I emphasized more color to the outer corners to really lengthen and strengthen my eye shape.
- I then took that same deep dark purplish black smoky shadow and applied it wet onto the outer lid for a huge impact and high drama. I let it dry then I took the same brush, dried it off, and used the tip of the thin flat head brush to buff the dark purple into my crease to mesh with the bright purple I had already applied in the crease area. *This creates a really bold, strong crease and is what is giving my eyes the majority of their shape.
-To create the sharp and defined winged liner, I placed the edge of a bookmark I own along the area next to my eye (place wherever you want your wing to be) and I brushed the brush along the side of the bookmark pushing the tip of the brush with the shadow along the surface of my skin. When you remove the bookmark you will have a strong line. You then have to fill in the "blanks on your own and connect your line to the eye for a wing effect. I only used shadow for this.
-I then applied a great mascara and filled in my brows with a dark brown shadow.
FACE -A moisturizer that will help keep your skin moisturized all day.
-I used a full coverage foundation but I only applied it on the skin where I absolutely needed it and then softly blended it out.
-Blended skin with a soft mineral powder and contoured with a light matte bronzing powder.
-I applied the blush onto the top of my cheek bone for the most color then softly blended up the cheekbone and down onto the apple. this creates a great blend and much more natural look.
LIPS
- I placed a concealer over my lip to lighten the color then applied a light nude gloss. Later, I switched it up and applied a vibrant, yet still sheer, purplish pink gloss. Which do you prefer???

ReplyDeletep.s., to answer your question, I prefer the nude lip - the eyes stand out so much more.
